Dear Team Events Party Planner:
I need a high-octane team building event for my young group of adventure-seeking employees. I have read your blog about more "easy going" team building activities and I need the exact opposite! We have gone rock-climbing and go-cart driving, been white water rafting and camping. These guys & gals are up for anything and I am out of ideas. We need something new and different, but something that will be physically exciting as well.
What can we do with my group of 12 under 25 year-olds?
Matt D.
Dear Matt:
Team Events has a full host of super-active team building events, but there is one I would like to share with you today, since it fits the bill: interesting, physically exciting, different, new... well, let me start here:
Remember the movie “Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome”? It starred Tina Turner and Mel Gibson, set on a drab Australian post-apocalyptic desert stage. In this bleak future, the only law was THUNDERDOME (dum dum dummmmm!) My siblings and I freaking loved that movie! We were mesmerized, and our after-elementary school play quickly changed shape. We’d organize Thunderdome games in our sandbox, under the jungle gym, in he garage….anywhere from the prying eyes of the pesky parental units.
Now, I can welcome all the important people in my life into a Thunderdome-esque competition. Team Event’s Strata Ball is way safer then what Mad Max had to go through, but its still a fun and physical way to liven up any boring soiree. Players score points by tossing giant 52" colored “Strata Balls” into color coordinated huge tower cylinders. My office is a rough-n-tumble crowd, so we don’t mind getting a little physical during game play – but you don’t have to either. Strata Ball is great for team building events, company picnics, family reunions (Take THAT Uncle Marvin) or just about any event. Just remember – the ONLY law is STRATA BALL! Dum dum dum!
